SUV = Unstable.
90% of the vehicles I see in LA on their roof or side are SUVs. If you want stability, get a car based “crossover” vehicle.

What’s the most reliable SUV I can get for under 3k.
Some makes/models I’m leaning towards are Ford Explorer, Jeep Cherokee.
I started looking at the two door GMC Jimmy’s, I like the look and you can get them for a good price but I keep reading horrible reveiws on Edmunds and elsewhere.
I’m also open to pickup trucks as well.

What Is The Most Economical Larger Car (sedan/suv/truck) To Lease Right Now?
A sedan. Completely ignore the claims of the mileage for SUVs and Trucks. As much as anyone would love to believe that you get 30 miles to the gallon from such….that’s in the most stripped down version possible….generally a weak v6, without any options. And even then, it’s driving conservatively, with no cargo, no passengers, etc.
Look towards a Volvo station wagon, or something of that nature.
